Khan's BBQ

Sasha eating palak gosht with her fingers and naan.

Tandoori Chicken

Fennel Seeds

Assorted Naan

Mango Lassi

Palak Gosht

We had never tried goat until our recent visit to Khan's BBQ on the corner of Devon and Western in Chicago. We have had goat milk and goat cheese before but never goat meat. Although it was not the most beautiful dish it was delicious. You can't always judge food by what it looks like. We ordered Palak Gosht which was made from spinach, goat and spices. It was very spicy. We washed it down with a mango Lassi which helped with the spiciness.

We also had several different kinds of bread called Naan and Paratha. We had garlic naan, sesame naan and plain naan. Sasha liked the paratha best because of its chewy texture.

We loved the tandoori catfish. It was sweet and moist with a tint of spiciness.

We finished the meal with fennel seeds to refresh our mouths and tastebuds.

During our meal we talked about Daddy's trip to India. He told us that in India they don't use forks or knives. You eat your food with your fingers and naan or paratha or rice. We washed our hands very carefully before dinner!
